The Visofold 1000 is Smart’s most popular aluminium bi-fold door, trusted by fabricators, installers, and end users alike. Its latest upgrade brings major improvements in thermal performance, ease of fabrication, and installation — all while maintaining the sleek aesthetics and slim sightlines that define the Visofold range.

The updated design now features wider 30mm polyamide thermal breaks, up from 18.6mm — a 60% increase. This results in significantly improved energy efficiency:

• Achieves a U-value of 1.4 and an A energy rating with a double-glazed unit (centre pane U-value of 1.2)*

• Maintains slim profiles to maximise solar gain

• Includes a new DV100 track insert with a simple clip-in polyamide section

Bi-folding doors are a versatile and increasingly popular alternative to traditional French or patio doors. They offer wide openings, improved access, and a clean, contemporary style that suits a range of property types.

At Silvertree, our bi-folding systems are built to be adaptable. You can choose the number of panels—up to a maximum of seven—to suit the width of your space. The master door can be positioned on either side, and panels can be configured to fold internally or externally. You can also choose to place the opening at the side or center, depending on your layout and access needs.

All door profiles include a polyamide thermal break for improved insulation and energy efficiency. High-quality EPDM gaskets and weather brushes are used throughout for enhanced weather resistance. The system meets the requirements of Building Regulations Document L (2010) and is fitted with multi-point locking on the main doors and shoot-bolt locking on floating mullions for added security.
